By accessing or using FollowerTracker.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree with any part of these terms, you shouldn't use our service. It's that simple.
These terms apply to all users of our website and mobile applications. When we say "we," "us," or "our," we mean FollowerTracker.app and its operators. When we say "you" or "user," we mean you, the person using our service.
📋 Description of Service
FollowerTracker.app provides Instagram analytics tools that help you understand your audience. Our web tool allows you to view publicly available information about any public Instagram profile. Our mobile application offers additional features for tracking your own account's follower changes over time.
We want to be clear about what we are and what we aren't. We are a tool for viewing and organizing public Instagram data. We are not affiliated with Instagram or Meta Platforms Inc. We don't have any special access to Instagram's systems beyond what's publicly available or what you authorize through official authentication methods.
✅ Acceptable Use
When you use FollowerTracker.app, you agree to use it responsibly. This means:
- Lawful purposes only: Don't use our service to do anything illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Respect for others: Don't use our service to harass, stalk, or harm other people. Looking up someone's public follower count is fine. Using that information to bother or threaten them is not.
- No automation abuse: Don't use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access our service in ways that could overload our servers or circumvent rate limits.
- Honest representation: Don't pretend to be someone you're not when using our service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these guidelines. We don't do this lightly, but we will if necessary to protect our service and other users.
🔐 Account Security
If you create an account with us (for premium features), you're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Use a strong, unique password. Don't share your account with others. If you think someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us immediately.
For features that connect to your Instagram account, we use Instagram's official OAuth authentication. This means we never see your Instagram password. However, you're responsible for maintaining the security of your Instagram account itself.
💳 Premium Services and Billing
Some features of FollowerTracker.app require a paid subscription. Here's how that works:
Subscriptions: Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. The terms of those platforms apply to payment processing, refunds, and subscription management.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription through your device's app store settings.
Refunds: Because subscriptions are processed through Apple and Google, refund requests must go through those platforms. We don't have direct access to billing information or the ability to process refunds ourselves.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price changes will take effect at your next renewal date, not during an active subscription period. We'll give you notice of significant price changes.
📊 Data and Content
The Instagram data you view through our service belongs to the respective Instagram users, not to us. We're just displaying publicly available information in an organized way.
You retain ownership of any content you create or data you generate while using our service (like notes or custom reports). However, by using our service, you grant us a limited license to process and display this content as necessary to provide the service to you.
⚠️ Disclaimer of Warranties
Here's the part where lawyers make us say things in all caps. We'll keep it readable:
FollowerTracker.app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that:
- The service will be available 100% of the time (though we try)
- The data will be perfectly accurate (Instagram can change things)
- The service will meet your specific needs
- The service will be error-free
We work hard to provide a reliable, accurate service, but Instagram's data and APIs can change at any time, and we can't control that.
⚖️ Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FollowerTracker.app shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our service.
This includes (but isn't limited to) damages for lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or any issues arising from Instagram API changes or service interruptions.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months, or fifty euros, whichever is greater.
📱 Third-Party Platforms
Our service interacts with Instagram, which is owned by Meta Platforms Inc. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta. Instagram's own terms of service apply to your use of Instagram. If Instagram changes their platform in ways that affect our service, we'll adapt as best we can, but we're not responsible for changes Instagram makes.
If you download our mobile app, the terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store also apply.
🔄 Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email if you have an account. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
If you don't agree with updated terms, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
🏛️ Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service will be resolved in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection laws and regulations.
